Photojournalist & Photographer
Mirja Vogel is an international photographer and photojournalist, currently based in Berlin, Germany. 
Originally from Germany, she has over 15 years' experience working as a photographer around the world. Her work has been published internationally in the likes of the BBC, CNN, Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Al Jazeera and more. 
She has travelled extensively to photograph and report on some of the most at-risk communities, including child marriage in Nepal, Mexico's ancient, non-binary community, migrant caravans from Central America, and transgender communities in India and Malaysia. 
In 2024, her photo taken in southern Mexico during the Muxe festival was selected by the Los Angeles Times as one of the 'best photographs of the year.' 
She is currently working on a documentary about transgender rights in the global south.
